• A Day Where You Can Focus

    on Just One Thing: You.

This one-of-a-kind day retreat was created by a woman balancing motherhood, a business, and a new life on a 40-acre homestead. On her journey to rediscover herself, she found a powerful rhythm in the quiet: a blend of nature, meditation, and breathwork that offered more than just rest - it offered remembrance.

Now, she’s opened that space to you.

The morning will begin with Equine Assistaed Meditation at the Barn

After a warm welcome and a chance to connect with the women who will share this day with you, you’ll meet Paloma, Ystke, George, and Ernie—four gentle souls who will walk beside you on your journey inward.

In this equine-assisted meditation, the horses become mirrors, reflecting your breath, your energy, and your presence with remarkable honesty and grace. Their grounded, intuitive nature invites you to slow down, soften, and reconnect with the parts of yourself often lost in the busyness of life.

After this quietly powerful experience, we’ll gather for a light lunch and share reflections before continuing on to the next chapter of your day.

    Forest bathing among the cedars

Wander slowly through 40 acres of high-desert beauty, where ancient cedar trees and weathered rock outcroppings hold space for your healing.

This 45-minute guided walk invites you into Shinrin-yoku, the Japanese practice of forest bathing. Scientifically proven to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, calm the nervous system, and enhance clarity and creativity. Surrounded by the grounding presence of the cedars, whose oils are known for their purifying and restorative properties, you'll move gently and with intention, allowing the land to work its quiet magic.

Midway through, we’ll pause to sit, reflect, or journal, while the soothing tones of the panda drum wash over you in a moment of deep stillness and sound healing.

This is not a hike. It’s a soft return to your senses, your breath, and your place in the natural world.

    Breathwork in the Bell Tent

At the end of your forest bathing journey, you'll arrive at a beautiful 20-foot bell tent - the sacred space for deep release and renewal.

Here, Nikki will hand you over to a local instructor who will gently guide you throuh a 90-minute breathwork session. Surrounded by nature and the stillness, you’ll begin to breathe with intention, unlocking the body’s innate ability to heal.

Breathwork helps regulate the nervous system, release stored emotions, and bring clarity to the mind. It’s a powerful tool for moving energy, processing what words cannot, and reconnecting to your inner truth.

As your breath deepens, so does your connection to self, to stillness, and to something greater.

    Closing Circle - Coming Home

We’ll take a short walk back to the barn where the day began, completing the circle of your journey. Here, we’ll gather with warm mugs of cocoa in hand and sit in quiet reflection, sharing any insights, emotions, or moments that wish to be spoken. This is a space of softness, community, and truth. A gentle exhale before you return to the regular world.

You’ll leave The Soul Sanctuary with more than just a peaceful mind. You’ll carry a renewed connection to the land, to others, and most importantly, to yourself. Rejuvenated by nature, held by likeminded souls, and reminded of the strength that comes from slowing down and listening inward.

  • Nikki Finn-Loudenslager

Founder of The Soul Sanctuary | Certified Forest Bathing Guide | Equine-Assisted Meditation Facilitator | Reiki I Practitioner

I’m Nikki—a mom, wife and long-time animal behavior professional who understands what it means to carry a lot while trying to keep it all together. I live on 40 acres in the White Mountains of Arizona with my husband Burt, our daughter Shelby, and a handful of dogs and horses that make life wonderfully full.

Originally from England, I spent over 12 years living in the Rockies before moving to Arizona in 2020. That year brought a whirlwind of change. Within just 12 months, I closed my business in Colorado, relocated to Vernon, launched a new dog training practice in the middle of a global pandemic, became a first-time mom in my 40's, and learned how to live off-grid while managing a 40-acre ranch.

About 18 months ago, I knew I needed something to help me recalibrate, a way to slow down and find myself again. That quiet search led me, step by step, to forest bathing, breathwork, and equine-assisted meditation. Each of these practices gave me the space to breathe more deeply, think more clearly, and reconnect with who I truly am: a woman of love, hope, faith, and a deep desire to show others what’s possible. The Soul Sanctuary was born from that experience. And the final piece I had been searching for - our land - had been right under my nose all along. I was just moving too fast to see it.

The land here is raw, and that’s exactly where its peace comes from. There’s nothing polished or sugar-coated. Just wide clear skies, cedar trees, rock outcroppings, and the kind of stillness that asks nothing from you. It’s a simple, no-frills space, untouched in many ways, and the quiet presence of those who walked it long before us. There’s a grounding energy here that doesn’t need explaining. You feel it when you arrive. You feel it even more when you stop.
